Syron Vanes was formed in Malmö, Sweden in 1981. They used to rehearse in the safety room where they spend most of their spare time.

In 1983 the newspapers had noticed Syron Vanes and they were often mentioned in the daily newspapers.

In the early ages the band played in youth clubs and they even played at the Victoria Theater in Malmö. During the autumn they also played in Denmark and Germany. It was at this time Syron Vanes started to progress. During some time they had send demo tapes to several record companies but the Swedish record companies did not show very much interest in SV. In 1984 Syron Vanes signed a 5 year contract with the new company, Ebony Records, in England. Ebony Records wanted something new and heavy and never doubted the band's potential as the Swedes did.

The band left for England in 1984 to record their first album. Ebony Records wanted the band members to take on stage names. Syron Vanes became Rix Volin, Andy Seymore, Rimmy Hunter, Ace Greensmith and Stephen Mavrock. Their first album, "Bringer of Evil" was released in September 1984 and sold 100,000 copies.

At this time there was a media frenzy surrounding the band. Magazines such as Okej, Metal Chaos, Ardchok, Metalforce, Fireball, Orkan, Black Metal and Kerrang, did features on them. Things were starting to happen for the band. An England/Germany tour was followed by Holland and Belgium. In Sweden though, it was difficult getting gigs as the fans were behaving to wildly. Although in 1985, they were invited to play in folkparker. They were also invited to play at the Malmö Festival. Shortly after that they did some touring in Poland.

Syron Vanes' second album "Revenge" was recorded in Sweden with the new bass player Dick Qwarfort.

The band thought the sound on the first record was not up to standard so they decided to mix it themselves with help from sound technician Peter Berge. After that, the band was more successful in Sweden and had more gigs. They played at Stadt Hamburg in Malmö for a big audience that New Year.

In 1987, Rix Violin (vocals) and bass player Dick Qwarfort left the band. They were replaced with Rimmy Hunter (vocals) and Peter Cane (bass player).

The band participated in the Swedish Rock Championship that was held in Malmö 1988.

The band was looking for a new record deal and had contacted CBS records and EMI. Syron Vanes decided to pull out of any deals, as they wanted more control and influence over the material.

In 1989, Syron Vanes was offered a contract with Azra International Records; again they pulled out of the deal. Syron Vanes continued to perform live but no new material was released. Now, 10 years later, with new bass player Jakob Lagergren, Syron Vanes is ready for a new hard challenge.

A new album is on its way and the stage premier takes place 3rd March 2001.

Syron Vanes is using their own names on the new album that will be released early 2003.

- 2005

Big changes in the band.

Syron Vanes is back and this time you better hold on cause the 4:th album is on its way. Harder, meaner and louder than ever before. Sins the last album was released two of the members, Anders Hahne and Jacob Lagergren has left the building. With all the work in the studio, producing and recording various band Anders decided to leave the band leaving Staffan Lindstedt and Rimbert Vahlstroem with a difficult question. What do we do now?

The result, finding a new bass player and record a new album. The very talented Michel Strand is now playing the bass and as you soon will hear on the new album “WILD SIDE REUNION”, he does it just like it should be done. Loud and aggressive.

The album will be released this summer and a tour is planed. So far Sweden, Italy and Holland will be tortured. The cult band Syron Vanes is still KICK´N ASS.
